Energy Efficiency
High energy prices have caused concern throughout the UK, and particularly by many of the energy intensive industries in the Northwest.
The days of relatively low energy prices are well and truly behind us and the need for energy efficient technologies has become ever greater. The demand for energy efficiency products and services is on the increase and the energy efficiency sector is playing an increasing role in providing essential products and services to enable organisations to help control their energy use.
This vital sector now employs around 10,000 people in the Northwest and the potential for growth is extensive. Envirolink Northwest works to position the region as market leader in the supply, development and use of energy saving goods and services. We aim to help drive and raise the profile of the energy efficiency sector in England’s Northwest by:
- Promoting regional energy efficiency technologies and services
- Helping Northwest companies increase energy efficiency and reduce costs
- Supporting the development and commercialisation of innovative low carbon technologies
